I’m back

Okay I took a vacation from this thing (and my beloved onething forums) as I realized anything I would post would be an echo and not a voice, and have since been leading some bible studies bringing Ihop truths to people who are outside our little swirl here. It has been intense to say the least.

I’m setting a goal of a post every two days and I do have a lot of plans for this little wordcast here. 😉 First, categories like ‘Song of Songs!!!,’ ‘The Oprah Spirit,’ ‘Biblical ideas to inspire fasting and prayer’ and ‘Songs of Zion’. The last one there has to do with the plan of the Lord to begin to return the music industry back to the Kingdom, though I imagine the industry part of it is going to be radically different. Many are contending among us are recieving ideas for sounds and lyrics and ideas from the Holy Spirit, not looking to the world and secular for inspiration but to the songs of heaven. I’m actually partnering with a few people to build a recording studio!! for this very purpose. Should be done around spring, so if you read the above and it’s your heart, hit me up!

Don’t kid yourself, the inspiration you receive may come from the other side guised as from heaven.

How are you to know? Even the elect are fooled. If it is meant to be it is, of not it isn’t.

There is some fine secular music out there as well, as most music are stories of life, are they not, and not all life happens in Church.

  2. Thank you very much for taking the time to comment, and your comments are always welcome, I’m going to disagree, but let me explain where I’m coming from.

Well if John 5:10 says His sheep know His voice (those fooled aren’t true sheep?) and if we know His voice He can steer us into right paths. Music is God’s not mans! The Lord is musical, is he not? And if He wants us to be ‘taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2nd Cor 10), then shouldn’t our lyrics be obedient to Him as well?

Many of the Psalms were written by the Holy Spirit and given to David as He gazed into the glory of the Lord on the Ark of the Covenant. He was literally looking at God and God gave Him songs. But the church has not had this. Our Christian music is merely an imitation of secular music and possesses no real anointing of God. Many christians I know listen to secular music because it’s so much better than Christian music. By prayer and seeking to gaze on the glory of God we can recieve the anointing of the Holy Spirit to bring forth the songs of the church, the songs of Zion. 1 Cor 2:10 For to us God reveals.. through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God

Not all life happens in the Church sure, but I dont mean songs of the church. you see, secular songs are songs of life without God. The true disciple of Christ abides in Him at all times (John 15). So we want songs of the abiding lifestyle. These songs will carry the weight of heaven of them and break the enemies strongholds of depression and lead many to deeper love of God.

btw, that verse is actually saying even some of the elect will be fooled, because they don’t have the love of Truth (2nd thes 2:10), not that the elect are fooled most of the time, so one shouldn’t seek spiritual things. Col 3:1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. We want and need the things of heaven and there are songs in Heaven, see revelation 15:3.

bless you and let me know what you think, b
