Genesis 1 Principle

The Gen. 1 principle is the spiritual principle that the Spirit moves at God’s word. In Genesis 1, the darkness and the Spirit were there. But nothing happened until the Word of God was spoken.

God taught Adam to have dominion over the earth in the same way God did by speaking words. God created humans in His image and then gave us His Word to release His will on earth.

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Rom. 10:17)

Faith does not come by asking but by “hearing” the Word. The way our heart “hears” the best and most is when the Word comes from our own lips. The most powerful words that affect your life are the words you speak. Your spirit is most sensitive to the very words that you speak.

The Word is living and active (Heb 4:16) and speaking it aloud is powerful, and speaking it in prayer directly to Jesus is the most powerful thing we can do to impart life into our innerman.  We can either feed the flesh, or we can feed the Spirit within us, and who we feed will have control.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue… (Prov. 18:21)         When our heart and words agree with God’s will then they release His power. If our words agree with Satan’s accusations then we release his power in our life. Many have “faith” in the devil’s accusing words and yet not in God’s.  In  Mt. 4:4-10 Jesus rebuked Satan by speaking God’s word.

The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. (Jn. 6:63)

Faith is the key to answered prayer, and Mat 7:7 says the measure that we have confidence for, is the measure that we will receive, we need not hope mixed with doubt, but the true faith, which is confidence.  This is not presumption, but like Esther, we have the ear and favor of the King.
